In-House Congress Jakarta 2016 11 May 2016 – Review |
Now in its twelfth year, the In-House Congress Jakarta hosted by InHouse Community brought together near 200 senior counsel, Directors and CEOs to analyse and discuss issues such as: Cross-border Debt Restructuring for Indonesian Companies; Demystifying Islamic Finance; Disruptive Technology & the Law: Anticipating Likely Regulatory Changes; and Dispute Resolution Internationalised – Arbitration, Litigation and Mediation, Part II.
Alongside co-hosts Ashurst; Oentoeng Suria & Partners; Assegaf Hamzah & Partners; Clyde & Co; Dentons Rodyk & Davidson; and Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo, we hosted our twelfth annual In House Congress Jakarta at the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta on May 11, 2016.
The 190 in attendance were first treated to ‘In-House Lawyering: uncovering the relationship between Quality, Cost and Value, and their continuingly changing relationship with External Counsel’. The discussion was led by DA Partners (a law practice and member firm of EY global network) Principal Evangelos Apostolou, a former regional GC himself, and involved thoughts from Reza P. Topobroto, Director of Legal Affairs, PT Microsoft Indonesia/Supervisory Board, Indonesia Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA); Wulandari Setyaningsih, Legal Director, Sanofi Group Indonesia; Joel Hogarth, Partner, Ashurst in association with Oentoeng Suria & Partners; and Mohamed Idwan Ganie, Managing Partner, Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo.
Subsequent practice area workshops included ‘Cross-border Debt Restructuring for Indonesian Companies’; ‘Demystifying Islamic Finance’; ‘Disruptive Technology & the Law; and ‘Dispute Resolution Internationalised – Arbitration, Litigation and Mediation Part II’. We would like to thank all whose work helped make this event a success as well as the Indonesia chapter of the In-House Community for their attendance and support.
