Alternative legal services provider Axiom has hired Fitbit’s Yolanda Chan as general manager for Asia Pacific.
Chan, who will be based in Hong Kong, has more than 20 years of experience in the region with industry-leading brands including Fitbit, Promethean and Microsoft. Axiom says her priorities will include business development and a continued focus on attracting and retaining talented professionals.
She joins Axiom from Fitbit, where she served as vice-president and general manager of Asia Pacific, where she helped to launch the fitness tracker category in the region.
“We are very excited to welcome [Chan] and I am confident she will be an excellent leader and addition to our APAC efforts,” said Barry Quinn, a senior vice-president in Axiom’s international division. “Her expertise and background will help support our APAC clients and Axiom’s growth objectives in the region.”
Prior to her role at Fitbit, Chan was vice-president of Asia Pacific at Promethean, where she launched and expanded their regional footprint and established strategic partnerships in the education industry.
She also previously worked at Microsoft for 12 years, where she held a range of senior positions across the region. Her last role with the company was as regional director of the company’s home and entertainment division, where she was responsible for overall management and leadership of sales, marketing, distribution, and retail strategies.
“I’m excited to spearhead Axiom’s efforts in the APAC region,” said Chan. “I look forward to leveraging my expertise in conjunction with the firm’s already-established success to support our client roster and our strategic priorities in the region.”
Axiom has been operating in the region since 2012 and provides tech-enabled legal, contracts and compliance solutions for large enterprises. The firm comprises 2,000-plus lawyers, professionals, process engineers and technologists.
