 Following in the slipstream of a number of Singaporean based firms who have launched outposts in Myanmar, WongPartnership opened its office in Yangon on 23rd June. Joining a clutch of well-known firms: Rajah & Tann, Allen & Gledhill and Colin Ng & Partners, amongst others, WongPartnership has launched a presence in the commercial capital with a view to leveraging the rising tide of foreign direct investment and a multitude of business opportunities emanating from Asia’s rapidly growing emerging market. The firm specialises in corporate, finance, capital markets and M&A matters as well as litigation and arbitration, and it is expected to add construction, hospitality, agriculture and fast-moving consumer goods to its areas of expertise in the former pariah state.
