Allen & Gledhill agrees Indonesia alliance

Singapore law firm Allen & Gledhill has agreed a strategic alliance with Indonesia’s Soemadipradja & Taher, expanding its network in Southeast Asia to a fourth country.

As part of the alliance, Oene Marseille has joined A&G as a foreign law partner from Ali Budiardjo Nugroho Reksodiputro. With more than 18 years in Jakarta as a foreign registered lawyer practising in the areas of corporate, M&A, foreign investment and project finance, Oene will work closely with S&T to develop the relationship between the two firms.

jakarta-small“With [Marseille’s] addition to Allen & Gledhill and the alliance with Soemadipradja & Taher, we look forward to delivering unique, innovative and cutting-edge legal advice to clients in Southeast Asia and beyond,” said Christina Ong, co-chairman and senior partner of A&G.

Rahmat Soemadipradja, senior partner of S&T, said: “Our firm is delighted with this alliance and the new opportunities ahead. The collaboration enables us to leverage on the capabilities that Allen & Gledhill has to offer.”

The agreement means A&G’s network now comprises a local office in Myanmar, an associate firm in Malaysia through Rahmat Lim & Partners and its home office in Singapore, as well as the new Indonesia tie-up.
