Law firm Clyde & Co recently published its second Middle East Deal Study. Based on the firm’s analysis of data from M&A and JV transactions on which they worked in the region over the last 18 months, the study provides insight into what businesses might expect from doing deals in the Middle East and what could be considered market practice. Findings reveal, amongst other things, that M&As are emerging as a more popular route to market than the traditional JV one. The study also gives sector commentaries, divulging the top sectors for both M&A and JV transactions in the region, and demonstrates with use of graphs and charts statistics on dispute resolution and the popularity of M&As and JVs for different sectors.
