| As part of their goal to expand their reach to the Middle East, the team at Diaz Reus and Targ LLP launched an office in Iraq in April. Diaz Reus’s have partnered up with law firm Newton & Partners to form their presence and will be one of the first major US law firms to establish a footprint in post –war Iraq. The affiliate office will cater to Greater Iraq and Kurdistan, particularly foreign companies looking to formulate investment strategies there. According to Michael Diaz Jr.,“this is the next natural and logical next step for the firm” which also has a presence in Dubai. The firm will concentrate on the corporate and regulatory aspects of investment in Iraq and will continue to focus on its existing specialties including M&A, international arbitration, corporate law and project finance. |
