The first week of June promises to be one of the most extraordinary in post-war British history, as prime minister Theresa May delivers a crunch vote on her Brexit withdrawal agreement — and it will also coincide with the In-House Community’s inaugural UK event, Bringing It All Back Home – Asia and the City of London.
The one-day seminar will take place on Monday, June 3 at the Law Society headquarters on Chancery Lane in London. The event is supported by the Law Society of England & Wales, the Institute of Directors, the American Bar Association and the Great Britain China Business Council and co-hosted by Llinks Law Offices, Major Lindsey Africa, Quinn Emanuel, Reed Smith, Winston & Strawn and Praxonomy.
The invite-only* conference will see specialists from Asia bringing the expertise you need to make business decisions in the world of opportunity outside of The City in an off-the-record/media-free environment.
With profound change comes opportunity. The Brexit saga has now provided a new perspective in the UK in general and the City in particular. Asia, the Middle East and Africa present the greatest business opportunities — and potentially the greatest legal risks. For example, London’s rush to become a major trading hub for the Chinese currency is paying off with trading volumes of the renminbi eclipsing those of sterling/euro for the first time.
