Navigating the life cycle of a cross-border deal

Harbour 2019

The American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law has harnessed the considerable intellectual firepower of more than 40 senior lawyers, accountants, forensic and corporate governance experts as speakers and panellists at a unique two-day conference in Hong Kong, on Thursday and Friday, October 24-25, 2019 at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.

The ABA Asia-Pacific Forum: Navigating the Life Cycle of a Cross-Border Deal explores the interplay of laws and requirements of multiple jurisdictions involved in a cross-border deal through the use of a thematic hypothetical of an acquisition that will be consistently explored across all eight of its plenary sessions.

Through these sessions over two days, experts from around the world will provide a roadmap and cutting-edge strategies to navigate the minefields of negotiating, structuring and completing the hypothetical deal or resolving disputes that potentially obstruct it, as well as providing insights into the latest national security, data security and cybersecurity hurdles to foreign investment.
