Singapore firms merge to create PK Wong & Nair

Singapore boutique dispute resolution and insolvency practice Nair & Co has merged with mid-sized firm PK Wong & Associates to form a full-service firm, PK Wong & Nair.

The new firm will have a combined total of 23 lawyers and will be led jointly by co-managing directors Suresh Nair and Mark Wong.

“The addition of the disputes team from Nair & Co will complement PK Wong & Associates’ existing disputes capabilities and also provide Nair & Co’s clients with one-stop corporate and commercial capability,” said Wong.

PK Wong was a member of the EY global network from 2014 to 2018 and became fully independent again in July 2018. It focuses on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, employment and data protection law, and disputes/insolvency, while Nair & Co, which was founded in 2017, specialises in dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency, and employment-related matters.

Nair said that the combined strengths of the two firms will provide the market with expertise across all disciplines without many of the conflict issues that are commonly associated with full-service law firms.

PK Wong & Nair is a member of First Law International, a global legal network of independent law firms.
