
Morrison Foerster has added Xuanyi Liu as a partner in the Private Funds Group and Transactions Department, based in Singapore. Liu brings extensive private funds and secondaries market experience to the firm, adding further depth to its private capital capabilities in Asia. He has a strong private funds practice focused on advising clients on the formation and operation of private funds across all strategies, including private equity and venture capital, credit, real estate, climate and infrastructure funds, as well as separate accounts, clubs, platforms and co-investment programs. Liu has extensive experience in secondaries and liquidity solutions for both GPs and LPs, and regularly advises sponsors and lead investors on GP-led secondaries, such as continuation funds, and traditional LP portfolio sales. Liu joins the firm from another prominent global firm, where he practiced in its investment funds group, from both its Singapore and Hong Kong offices. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Management from the Singapore Management University. He is admitted to practice in Singapore, and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
