Juris Corp celebrates 25-Year Milestone

Juris Corp began as a small, specialised practice at a time India was finding its feet in a newly liberalised economy. The legal and regulatory landscape was evolving rapidly, and so were the ambitions of businesses navigating a new world of opportunity and responsibility. What started as a focused advisory firm soon grew into a trusted partner for institutions shaping India’s banking, finance and corporate sectors.
Founded in the post-1991 reform era, Juris Corp’s journey mirrors the transformation of India’s financial ecosystem. As regulations grew more complex and transactions more sophisticated, the firm grew steadily, guided by enduring values of integrity in advice, depth in expertise, and a genuine commitment to those it supports.
Over the years, the firm has worked closely with its clients through regulatory shifts, landmark transactions, and the rise of technology-led compliance, earning trust through consistency.
To mark this 25-year milestone, Juris Corp hosted a special evening in Mumbai that brought together leaders from banking, finance, corporate India and industry bodies, many of whom have been part of the firm’s journey. More than a celebration, the evening was a reflection of the firm’s culture: thoughtful, inclusive and purpose driven.
The evening was designed to be interactive, engaging and deeply reflective of Juris Corp’s journey. The host and caricature artists wore badges that read “Lawyers Can Be Fun” – capturing the firm’s belief that rigour and warmth can coexist.
Activities blended finance, law and fun. Guests explored the firm’s story through an interactive spin-the-wheel experience that revealed lesser-known moments from the firm’s history. A themed caricature booth brought smiles with illustrations inspired by the worlds of banking and finance.
Even the cocktail menu carried a clever twist, with names like Hedge Fund Highball, In Good Fizz (Faith) and The Insider Sip, subtly weaving the firm’s domain expertise into every detail. Each element of the evening echoed the firm’s belief in innovation – not as a buzzword, but as a mindset rooted in curiosity, participation and continuous learning.
Gifts and takeaways were sourced from NGOs. Members from Veruschka, the NGO that created the cookies in the goodie bags, were present and personally handed them out to guests. Two members from Mann worked alongside the service team, while three members from Teach helped manage the stalls. The evening blurred the line between host, guest and contributor, reinforcing the firm’s belief that meaningful impact begins with shared space and dignity.
“It’s been a wonderful journey. We are delighted that over the years, we have had ongoing opportunities to contribute: to our clients, colleagues and society at large,” said Juris Corp Advocates and Solicitors co-founder Talat Shah.
